| THE SWEDISH PRINTMAKERS' ASSOCIATION | |
| The Swedish Printmakers´ Association was founded in 1910 by a handful of artists with the intention of furthering the interests of print-makers, arranging print exhibitions and distributing information about print-making as an art form. Today we number almost 450 members and continue in the same tradition. Our artists live throughout Sweden, and work in diverse artistic styles using all possible forms of print-making techniques. The Association has worked internationally from the very beginning, exhibiting in many countries, and arranging print exhibitions from abroad in our gallery. The Swedish Printmakers´ Association gallery is centrally situated in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. We have an important network of contacts with other print-makers´ collective workshops and print-makers´ associations in Sweden and abroad. Apart from the actual artist -printmaker members there is also a group of supportive members consisting of approximately 500 persons paying a yearly membership fee. They receive a portfolio of three prints every year. Supportive membership costs 1,500 Swedish crowns per year. These fees provide an important financial support for the Association and its members. |
