IEEB (International Experimental Engraving Biennial) initiates a new project:
EXPERIMENTAL PRINTMAKING - online projects
The project is addressed to all visual artists interested in experimental engraving, in new printing techniques, in printmaking and multimedia, engraving-objects, engraving installation and so on. This online project represents an experimental printmaking artworks archive usefully for artists, art critics, curators.
EXPERIMENTAL PRINTMAKING - online projects
Can be accessed on the International Experimental Engraving Biennial web page: www.experimentalproject.ro
Artists are invited to participate to this online project with a portfolio which should contain:
- Experimental printmaking works (maximum 20) JPEG format (RGB, maximum 1500x2000 pixels, maximum 200 dpi). Artists can also present video documentation (DVD)
- an updated CV (in Word)
- a recent photo (JPEG format)
- e-mail address
- personal web-page (according to each case)
The team of the International Experimental Engraving Biennial will analyze each portfolio and will select the artist and works that will have a presentation on our official web site.
All portfolios will be used exclusively to be posted on the International Experimental Engraving Biennial web site for the online project section.
There is no deadline for sending portofolios.
The participation to this online project is free.

Idea – process – message
…is the motto of this edition of MTG – Krakow 2012, International Print Network. It was conceived in order to re ect on graphic art in the contemporary world, and its engagement in current thinking, as well as artistic and social movements. Both general thoughts, and formal thoughts related directly to the graphic arts are within the scope of the proposed idea/concept, but impact is more important than historical distinctiveness. We are searching for a vibrant and responsive printmaking, which generates insights into the contemporary world.
Competition guidelines
The International Print Triennial Kraków 2012 competition is of an open character, and covers graphic art understood in a broad sense. Works created with classic graphic techniques, as well as with the use of the newest digital technology, authorial methods of copy creation, mixed media works and graphic installations may be submitted to the competition.
The les should be sent between 1st September 2011 and 30th November 2011. The date of
the delivery of the submissions to the Organizer’s o ce is the deadline.

NYKÖPINGS KONSTFÖRENING inbjuder Grafiska Sällskapets medlemmar att delta med offert på upplaga till vårt medlemslotteri för 2012.
Alt. I. 200 st grafiska blad från en konstnär.
Alt. II. 3 x 70 grafiska blad 210 st. från 2-3 konstnärer.
Våra önskemål beträffande bildstorlek och teknik är följande:
Bildstorlek: ca A4, A3 och A2.
Teknik: Litografi stentryck, koppargrafik, serigrafi, trä- och linoleumsnitt, utförda av konstnären på underlaget.
Leveranstid: november-december 2012.
Önskemål från konstföreningen att befrias från från BUS ersättning när konstverken ligger utlagda på vår hemsida.
Offert, provtryck eller skiss, uppgifter om titel och teknik samt kortfattad CV. Konstnären kan skicka sitt förslag fram till årsskiftet 2011-2012.

SAKURABA GALLERY INTERNATIONAL ARTIST COMPETITION AND EXHIBITION |

"Sakuraba Gallery, located in Sendai, Japan, announces their
international art competition to recognize the best artists from
outside of Japan. The artists that are selected to exhibit will be
brought to Japan from their home country to attend the opening
reception. Airfare, cost of hotel stay for up to ten days, and a small
group tour of Sendai are included. Meals and spending money are not
provided.
The competition is open to artists 18 years of age or older world-wide.
However;
- Artists must not currently reside in Japan or have resided in the
past for longer than two years.
- Artists cannot be Japanese citizens or hold duel citizenship with
Japan and another country.
- Publishers, galleries, agents, and collectors may not submit artwork
on behalf of artists.
- All works submitted must be original in design and concept. Artwork
must not be copied, in part or wholly, from any published or
copyrighted work. Artwork based upon a copy-written work for the sake
of parody or critic is acceptable on a case by case basis.
Eligible media: Drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, digital
art, sculpture, installations, ceramics, fiber art, wearable art,
jewelry, and mixed media.
Media not accepted: Video/film and live performance pieces.
All entries must be received by January 2nd, 2012. 12:01pm JST.
(January 1st 10:01 PM EST) - No exceptions will be given.
